New high-temperature coating for single- and multimode fibers
j-fiber GmbH offers an improved high-temperature coating for its singlemode and multimode fiber portfolio. The new coating system benefits from:
- superior microbending performance (Table 1)
- improved coating strippability (Table 2)
- low loss at low and high temperatures (0,05 dB/km, Fig. 1)
- low loss after coloring (Fig. 2)
The upper use temperature is +150°C long-term and 200°C short-term, thereby maintaining the excellent high-temperature stability of the former coating system.
The new high-temperature coating complies with current Rohs and Reach regulations.
