Fiber Optical Splitters

LEONI Fiber Optics develops and produces planar lightwave circuits (PLC) by employing a specific optical chip technology. Our standard product portfolio includes singlemode 1 x N and 2 x N broadband splitters with up to 64 channels, designed as monolithic components for the telecom wavelength range. Besides delivering standard splitters we also use a construction kit which allows us to manufacture our chips in a vast functional variety. This enables us for instance to deliver customized asymmetric or monolithic multiple splitters within the shortest time possible. We also deliver planar singlemode waveguide components for lower wavelengths ranging as low as 600 nm and waveguides with special transmission properties such as polarization maintaining. Recently, we also broadened our chip production technology in order to manufacture customized multimode splitter components with core diameters up to 300 µm and with numerical apertures up to 0.4.
